What is the Periodic Table of Digital Authority?
+
The Periodic Table of Digital Authority is a 44-element framework invented by Douglas J.T. Lord that measures every signal determining whether AI systems recommend, cite, or ignore a business. It covers 8 groups: AI Authority, Entity & Brand, Trust & E-E-A-T, Content, Schema & Structure, Links & Citations, Architecture, and Risk & Violations. Each element has a defined weight (+3, +2, +1, −1, −2, −3) and maps to one of four Smart Cards.
What does a licenced API call actually return?
+
Every call returns: four Smart Card scores (Brand Intelligence, Search Intelligence, AI Readiness, AI Risk & Exposure), a composite Authority Score (0–100), a score band (Critical through Exceptional), a narrative summary with biggest strength, biggest gap, and priority action, and a set of fast-win recommendations. Platform and Enterprise tiers also receive element-level scores for all 44 elements.
Can I resell Authority44 reports to my own clients?
+
Yes — under a Reseller licence. Reseller keys return white-label API responses with no AUTHORITY44 branding. You present the reports under your own brand. Resellers may not sub-licence to other resellers. A reseller agreement is required — contact hello@authority44.ai for terms.
Does the licence reveal the scoring formula?
+
No. The Authority Score formula and element weights are protected as a trade secret under DJTL-IPG-007 v2.3. The API returns scores and outputs — not the formula, weights, or prompt architecture that produces them. Licensing agreements explicitly prohibit reverse-engineering or sub-licensing the scoring methodology.
How are domain caps counted?
+
Domain caps apply to active unique domains scored within your licence period. Rescoring the same domain does not count against your domain cap — only new domains do. Daily call limits reset at UTC midnight.
Can I score any domain or only domains I own?
+
You can score any publicly accessible domain — your own, client domains, or competitor domains. There are no restrictions on which domains you score within your tier limits. Agencies typically score client domains; franchise systems score all their locations; platform licencees score whatever their users submit.
What is included in a Franchise licence?
+
Franchise licences are designed for groups with 10–500 locations. You receive 5,000 daily API calls, up to 500 domain slots, competitor gap analysis, and white-label API responses for embedding in franchisee dashboards or portals. Pricing is based on location count — contact hello@authority44.ai for a franchise-specific proposal.
